2012 / April 2
by Massimo Porcelli

PARIS – Keyton Manchegois a young photographer, born in Tolouse and working in Paris, that I really admire for his ability to “spectacolarize” every object cartching its essence in a shot. His stilllife are so unusual but, at the same time, so simple and absolutely unforgettable!

The Standard Hotel – NYC

2012 / March 24
by Massimo Porcelli

NEW YORK -If you saw “Shame” with Michael Fassbender, surely you will remember it: The Standar Hotel is the sexiest place to sleep in when you are in Manhattan just because its wall/windows are so attractive that it’s impossible to resist… The Hotel is located  in a huge building of the early Sixties that is one of the best knows example of “Brutalist Architecture”, overviewing the Hudson and all the Meatpacking District. I love this pic and, watching out it, I discovered that there is more than a guest showing all his beauty.

Balmain
Spring Summer Menswear Collection 2012

2012 / March 20
by Massimo Porcelli

PARIS – The new era at Paris’s sex-charged fashion house Balmain is beginning to take shape, with 25-year-old Olivier Rousteing being tapped as the label’s new designer. Rousteing, who joined Balmain in 2009 and is currently in charge of women’s wear, replaces Christophe Decarnin, who left earlier this month due to strategic disputes with chairman Alain Hivelin. Before joining Balmain, Rousteing worked for five years at Roberto Cavalli, which should serve him well in delivering the decadent rock-inflected glamour that became the label’s trademark under Decarnin.

Roger Vivier – Prismick Collection

2012 / March 10
by Massimo Porcelli

PARIS -Under the supervision of Bruno Frisoni and Ines de la Fressange, Roger Vivier launchs Prismick, a new collection of bags and shoes unmistakable and, at the same time, absolutely simple and stylish. The inspirations starts from monsieur Vivier’s passion of collages, tangrams and paper foldings origamis: squares and lozenges to create geometrical textures that turn into bags so manageables that may be folded and holded in many different way. And the same geometric path decorates also shoes and ballerinas. I think that this collection is going to be a huge success: it’s recognizable, essential, practical, glamourous able to survive to the trends of today just to became a great classic!

Charlotte Casiraghi + Gucci

2012 / March 6
by Massimo Porcelli

FLORENCE – Charlotte Casiraghi is the charming new face of “Forever Now”, 4 advertising campaigns created by Frida Giannini and shooted by as many photographers. The first is Peter Lindibergh taking his camera in a location that perfectly becomes to the Princess and to the Maison: horses, stables and horseridings. Charlotte is an emblazoned amazon and Gucci build his reputation describing the elegance and the allure of this sport: the characters that clearly describe, in a very modern and contemporary way, a so classic style that jumps, with great deftly, time passing.
