15×15 Nars

PARIS – 15 is the magic number: 15 portraits of 15 superstars in a volume measuring 15×15 cm, printed in 1500 copies to celebrate Nars Cosmetics’ 15th anniversary.

“15X15NARS” by Francois Nars is always interesting to flip, to look up, to study or to talk about, althroug it was published in 2009 and is pratically impossible to find it today. Every portrait is a story in its own where photography, makeup, groming and stylism (all signed by Francois) blend perfectly.

That is why, page after page, we just can verify that the author is incomparable, in equal measure, as makeup artist, photographer, look maker, intrapreneur or anything else.

Makeup is ephemeral by definition, to tell in a book how colours may transform a face is a spell that remains day after day. This is Nars’ magic.
