Shirin Neshat

MILAN – Shirin Neshat presents, in the fashinating Sala delle Cariatidi at Palazzo Reale, a video art installation inspired by “Women Without Men” the movie she directed in 2008 that won the Silver Leon at Venice Film Festival. 15 mega-screens create a ribbon that, crossing the whole hall, projects the stories of a group of women in Iran, at the end of Fifties, in the days of Reza Palhavi’s coup d’etat.

The astonishing images, that made unforgettable the movie, splits one in another and return to us in a multisensorial experience that goes over the cinema to become pure conceptual art
